This is number eight in the series of table runner for Christmas . . .
It seems that the gifts are more important than anything else when it is 3 days till Christmas. I am working on the princess quilt for the five year old granddaughter . . . it would have been farther along but babysitting got in the way last night. That is always a good excuse to get out of the studio and play! . . . More on the princess quilt to come.
Sometimes Christmas comes early . . . he sees our wish list and woosh . . . there it is . . . all wrapped up in . . . cardboard. Who would have thought?
Our computer presently is about 8 years old and sadly in need of replacing. It takes approximately one minute to switch screens and change anything. Seriously, you could click on internet explorer and then go take a shower. When you return, surprise, it is finally up and ready to allow you to click on something and then . . . wait . . .
For all you do and all that you are, for all you have given and for loving me . . . Thank you Santa . . . I love you too!

This is the outside of the caddy. An inside view of a handy caddy for my sister that just had surgery and must be on the couch or in bed. Just tuck it under the cushions or mattress and everything is right where she needs it or you could take it to class with your quilting aids, like I do.
It's offical! The Color of the Year, for 2010, is Pantone 15-5519 Turquoise. It is beautiful and Turquoise has become my favorite lately . . . funny how that works out. Watch for a quilt in these tones in the Spring. It is just a happy color . . I love it.
While stitching up a storm, I finished two table runners for Christmas. Pretty easy and quick. I think they will be nice gifts. I only needed one in Burgundy and Navy and now three with earth tones, one is done and hopefully one more today. Cross you fingers. Both patterns are from Anika's Treasures. Well written and fun to do! Thanks Anika.

I will share a small bit of my Nativity collection. Each year I either purchase one or one is given to me. Each one has a special meaning for me. Mary with Child was given to me by my sister. I love the Lifesighs cards and now she has made this. My piece is signed by the artist. It reminds me of my sister each time I gaze upon it and remember the love she has for me. This one was given to my boyfriend our first Christmas dating. He did not have one that I could see so since we had only been dating a few weeks, I thought this would be a nice remberance for him. Now that we are married, it is even more special.
In the Spirit of the Season . . . the Real Reason for the Season . . . I pause and remember why it is Christmas . . . what it stands for and who it is about. As I make preprations for family and friends . . . I pause and say a prayer of thanks for all that I have been blessed with, family, friends, job, adversity, hope, joy and Love.
I was thrilled when I walked into Zoe's Trunk and there in a trunk was French General Fabric from Moda. I was excited as they found 2 charm square packs for me and then I selected a couple of pieces of yardage to go with it. I am making it for my bedroom . . . I need a quilt on the wall from these beautiful fabrics . . . I can't wait to get started after Xmas . . .
My Angel comes from Sew Simple Homestyle . . . She will be an organizer for the side of the bed or perhaps a pillow with pockets . . . perhaps she should guard embroidery supplies . . . not sure yet but still stitchin when the sun goes down . . .
Another evening project that says "A sister is a forever friend". The pattern is from Bareroots. This was a fun and so adorable now that it is done. What shall I make with it?? A pocket on a tote, pillow, wall hanging, picture? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. I will send a pattern from Homestead Station to the winner.
