Sedona Villiage

This beautiful fountain is one of the center pieces of a quaint villiage in Sedona.  We ate Lunch at the Brewery as that was the only place to find pizza for the Grandchilren.

I found everything there just enchanting and beautiful.  It is a cross between the streets of Italy and Mexico if that is possible.  Balcony's with French Doors that open, upstair shops, fountains everywhere, flowers, statues and such beautiful trees that are so very old.

The lovely granddaughters that accompanied us on our journery.  They has not been to this area before and were anxious for an outing, it is Spring Break!  Mom came as well and did a bit of shopping in Sedona.  What a fun Day!!

Oak Creek Canyon

This wood bench is priceless.  It weighs a ton, really!

Just look what we found in Oak Creek Canyon.  An enchanting little wayside stop that has been there forever.  Original windows and stone work are all evident as soon as you drive up.

This sign is priceless. We just had to find out what was there, besides there was a necessary stop to be made. It is made of stone and has real screen doors if you can believe that!

There were planters filled with Daffidols and Panseys.  It was just fun and authentic.

This tree was just across the highway from our wayside stop.

This show how full the creek is and how darling my grandchildren are, of course.

Sedona

The images of the Red Rocks is stunning.  Everywhere in Sedona, AZ are red rock pillars and greenery.  This is just an example of what awaits you there.

This is a small fountain we saw.

This is one of the many fountains we saw there.  There is an emblem of the chapel outline in the fountain foundation.

This bush almost looks like Bonzi.

This beautiful home is just below the Chapel built into the cliffs. A telescope opens on the roof so the owners can view the stars uninterupted. There is a waterfall at the end of the home by the trees that flows into a pool to the left of the photo. Just a lovely home to view.

Alas there was no stop at the quilt shop there but wonderful memories were made instead.

Out in the Sticks

Tin for the roof of the cashier's booth . . . so rustic and so much character . . .

We went to Globe, Miami and Top of the World today. Such fun looking in antique stores and finding treasures to decorate the lobby of Sweet Man's Car Wash that just opened in Phoenix at Cactus and Cave Creek. It will have an antique flair, think Cracker Barrel . . . we found this wonderful fencing, a fantastic gate, doors, windows and a sled. I only have two pictures right now but will have more tomorrow. I am keeping some for my home . . . it needs some Shabby Chic.

We also stopped at Julie's Sewing Center in Miami and donated by purchasing a quilt kit with some of the proceeds going to Project Linus.
